CONNECTOR BLOCK FOR SIMULTANEOUS CONNECTION OF MULTIPLE OPTICAL FIBER

PURPOSE:To allow the easy and sure connection of coated fibers by providing a tunnel part formed with optical fiber fitting holes and slipping and inserting the fibers into the tunnel through mounting grooves. CONSTITUTION:The tunnel part 15 formed with plural pieces of the optical fiber fitting holes 14 is provided and a slot 16 is formed to the central part thereof. The optical fiber mounting grooves 18A, 18B are provided to both sides of the tunnel part 15 and the mounting grooves 19A, 19B for mounting the coated cable are provided to both sides thereof. The optical fibers to be connected are slipped on the above-mentioned mounting grooves from both sides to insert the coated fibers into the fitting holes 14. Both end faces thereof are butted against each other at the point of the slot 16 and an optical matching agent is packed therebetween, by which the easy and sure connection is executed.
