The invention relates to a process and the associated apparatuses for producing pellets from a molten material. For this purpose, the liquid stream from a heated trough, which has in the lower part a row of nozzle boreholes, is periodically disturbed by a rotating impeller, so that the material rolls as drops onto a cooling belt and solidifies there.
