PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain both excellent temperature characteristics and a stable aging property by a method wherein an element is constituted by interposing a separator and an electrolyte between polarized electrodes, and a specific quantity of one of the nitrate of Mg, Ca, Sr is added to the electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:An element is constituted by interposing a separator 2 and an electrolyte between carbon electrodes 1 consisting of an activated carbon fiber cloth, and one of Mg, Ca and Sr nitrates of 0.1-l.0wt.% is added to the electrolyte. By using thiskind of electrolyte, the metal part, especially aluminum, is stabilized in the capacitor element by the Mg, Ca or Sr nitrate added to the electrolyte, and the dissolution current generated by the dissolution becomes low. As a result, stable characteristics can be maintained when initial characteristics and high temperature load tests are conducted. |
