Roadway support unit

The roadway support unit consists of several channel-section segments (1) which are put together in an overlapping manner to form a support arch and are connected to the rock (4) via a compensating layer (2). In the areas in which fastening points for the suspension of monorail conveyors, supply lines or the like are provided on the roadway support unit, a shaped body (3a; 3b) is arranged between compensating layer (2) and channel-section segment (1). The shaped body (3a; 3b) keeps the compensating layer (2) at a distance from the channel-section segment (1) and thus forms a lateral clearance space for inserting fastening claws (11). The shaped body (3a; 3b) is made of a material which is resistant to compression and transmits the pressure force applied by the rock (4) via the compensating layer (2) to the channel-section segment (1) and thus to the support arch. The shaped body (3a; 3b) is designed in such a way that either the fastening claws (11) can be driven laterally into the shaped body (3a) in a simple manner and can be extracted again when required or, if a harder material is used, a groove (13b) is provided in which the fastening claws (11) are hung for anchoring to the channel-section segment (1). <IMAGE>
