The invention relates to a secondary-air device (draught preventer) for house chimneys, composed of a housing frame 5 which can be introduced into the house chimney, of a regulating flap 10 which is mounted in said house frame about a pivot axis 11, and of an adjustment weight 16 which is arranged on said flap. The regulating flap 10 is assigned a device 17, 18, 23 which is intended for limiting the opening angle and, for the flow-in of the secondary air, permits only a limited opening angle for the regulating flap 10, but permits a free opening and closing movement of the regulating flap 10 in the adjusted opening angle. <IMAGE>
