<p>A cap for writing instruments, in particular for ball-point pens, comprises at least one air channel (4) which perforates the front face (2). The air channel is disposed axially and radially and is located in the region of the otherwise closed front face. The axially disposed sections (4') of the air channel are limited by at least one transverse impact wall (5) or by at least one step (5'') or disk (5') and are connected via at least one radial opening (4''') with other staggered axial sections (4'') or with the interior (7) of the cap (1'') to form through air channels.
