PURPOSE:To effect remarkable deodorization of air, activation of reaction, and activation of living things by bringing air into contact with divalent and trivalent iron salts. CONSTITUTION:Air is passed through the layers of divalent and trivalent iron salts having a construction of FeCl2.FeCl3.xH2O, 2FeCl.FeCl3.xH2O, etc. Or air is treated by feeding it into aqueous solutions of said substances or by spraying said solutions into air. As a result, malodorous components of air can be removed. Further, activity for reaction of air is promoted, leading to improved oxidizability. Furthermore, air is activated biologically, so that growth of animals and plants in contact with said air is promoted, with the result that their freshness can be maintained. |
