A tunnel finisher, with an inlet (2) and an outlet (3) each associated with a pair of air rollers (4-7), has a conveying device wiht grippers for guiding garments to be pressed through the tunnel finisher, a steam feed device (10) on the inner side of the input-side pair of air rollers (4, 5) and, near the latter, a circulating device for the atmosphere (12) and an air feed (20, 21, 31, 32) inside the air rollers (4-7). To ensure that garments being conveyed through the outlet-side air rollers (6, 7) are pressed as lightly as possible, a control (28) reduces the air feed inside the outlet-side pair of air rollers (6, 7) during the passage of a garment through said rollers. |
