PURPOSE:To provide good sensitivity to the above plate and to decrease the print scumming of a non-image part by providing a photoconductive insulating layer contg. a specific binder resin on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:This master plate has the photoconductive insulating layer contg. >=1 kinds of org. photoconductive compds., >=1 kinds of the cyanin dyes expressed by formula I, >=1 kinds of the compds. expressed by formula II, III or IV and the binder resin which is soluble or disperses in an alkaline aq. solvent on the conductive substrate. In formulas, A1, A2 denote -CH=CH-; R1-R4 denote a hydrogen atom, etc.; R5-R6 denote alkyl group, etc.; Q denotes divalent arom. hydrocarbon group, etc.; (l) denotes 0 or 1; (m), (n) denote 0 or 1; Z<-> denotes anion, R11 denotes an alkyl group, etc.; R12 and R13 denote a hydrogen group, etc.; R14 denotes a methylene group, etc. The high sensitivity is provided to the master plate in this way and since the etching property is excellent, the print scumming of the non-image part is decreased. |
