PURPOSE:To prevent a heat-insulating layer from being broken by water entering from the main body of a tank and heat insulation capability from deteriorating by a method wherein adjacent molded plates made of a heat-insulating material are jointed by overall adhesion and bonding and a vent part is communicated via a depressurization hole with a gaseous phase section when water is stored in a heat storage tank. CONSTITUTION:When water bleeding from concrete of the main body of a tank damages a part of a water-proof layer 2 between the main body 1 and a heat-insulating layer 3, it reaches a vent part. The water remains in the vent part 7, pushes out air from a depressure hole 5 to a gaseous phase 8 of water storage and flows out into the water storage from the depressure hole 5 when the gaseous phase section is filled with the water. Since the pressure of the bled water is drained into the tank, there is no pressure generated that will damage the heat-insulating layer 3. There is no deterioration of heat insulation of the heat- insulating layer 3, too. The depressurization hole 5 is communicated with the gaseous phase section 8 because it is designed that water in the tank cannot enter the vent part. Considera tion is necessary as regards a partial joint by adhesion between the main body of the tank and a molded plate made of a heat-insulating material, since buoyancy functions to the heat- insulating material due to entry of water. |
