PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain an electric contact of a long service life and favorable in respect of the cost by using a silvernonoxide system substance for a movable contact and a silver-oxide system substance for a fixed contact, and making the volume of the movable contact same as or less than that of the fixed contact. CONSTITUTION:A sliver-nonoxide system contact is used for a movable contact 1, while a silver-oxide system contact is used for a fixed contact 2. And at the same time, the volume of the movable contact 1 is made same as or less than that of the fixed contact 2. Since the silver-nonoxide system contact of the movable contact 1 has a larger temperature rise compared to the fixed contact 2, and a easier fusing property from the characteristic of the material, the fixed contact material is transferred to the surface of the movable contact 1 in the switching operation of the contact, and the contact is opened or closed with the silver-oxide system contacts each other, practically. As a result, an unusefulness that one side contact remains plentifully while the other side contact is worn out can be prevented, and an electric contact of a long service life and favorable in respect of the cost can be obtained. |
