PURPOSE: To improve the utilization ratio of radiation by forming a reflector of a rotary ellipsoidal body larger by a half or more of the rotary ellipsoidal body along the major axis direction of the rotary ellipsoidal body. CONSTITUTION: A reflector 10 is made of glass or the transparent plastic, and formed into a part of a rotary ellipsoidal body 10, and has a primary focal point 14 and a secondary focal point 16, and a radiation source 2 is arranged in the primary focal point 14. Since the reflector 10 is larger than a half of the rotary ellipsoidal body, almost of the radiation of the electromagnetic wave to be generated from the radiation source 12 arranged in the primary focal point 14 is reflected. Especially, in the case where length of the reflector 10 is extended to the secondary focal point 16, about 95% of the radiation is reflected by the reflector 10. With this structure, utilization ratio of the radiation is improved, and the thermal problem is eliminated, and a practical device is obtained. |
