PURPOSE:To smoothly execute system transition by adding format exchanging function and recording density reloading function. CONSTITUTION:The type of a bankbook magnetic stripe, which is used for a transaction, is decided from the data length of a recording data part An+1 of the magnetic stripe by format check function. Then, when a decided result is to change a data format, format conversion is executed by format converting function. After the conversion is finished, transaction history information, which are updated, are stored in an account file 1B and recording data An+1'6a of a command E6b magnetic stripe, which designates the recording density of the magnetic stripe, and registering data Dn+18 are transmitted to a terminal system 2. A bankbook handling device 3 receives the data E6b, An+1'6a and Dn+18 and executing the writing of the magnetic stripe with the designated recording density and new format. Then, registration is executed. Thus, the system transition can be smoothly executed. |
