PURPOSE:To select direct light and scattered light easily with a simple and small size system by installing a liquid crystal luminous adjusting device covering the front of a transparent lamp bulb. CONSTITUTION:A luminaire 10 is composed of a box 11 and a transparent lamp bulb 12 contained in the box. A liquid crystal luminous adjusting device 1 covering the front of the transparent lamp bulb is installed in the box 11, and when electric voltage is applied on the device 1 by a switch 14, the transparency of the device 1 is adjusted so as to emit direct light permeating the device and when the electric voltage is ceased, scattered light permeating the milk- white device 1 is emitted. Direct light and scattered light are thus selected easily by on-off switching operation with a simple and small size system. |
