The lock includes an added safety 7 with a catch 7c rotationally connected to a cylinder 7b, a spring bolt 2, a deadlock 4, one rotation of the catch 7c making the deadlock 4 pass from one position to the next position and a tumbler 5 which locks the deadlock in each position and is capable of being driven into the non-obstructing position by the end of the catch 7c bearing against a ramp 11 of the tumbler. The lock is characterised by an extension 10 of the tumbler 5 which has an opening in the shape of a circular segment 10a of which the ramp 11 constitutes the chord. During locking, the edge of the opening 10a, is centred on the axis of the cylinder 7b and forms a stop for the catch 7c. Thus the tumbler 5 cannot be lifted in order to unlock the deadlock 4 in an attempt at picking. <IMAGE>
