The present invention relates to a switching device of the type comprising at least one contact stud 110 which is mobile along a predetermined path, and two sets of fixed contact blades 120; 130; 140, placed respectively on either side of the path of the stud 110, one at least of the said sets comprising plural contact blades 130, 140, and the contour of the longitudinal free edges 121, 131, 141 of the blades, against which edges rests the contact stud 110, corresponding to the path of the stud 110, so that the latter successively connects different pairs of contact blades 120, 130; 120, 140 belonging to the two aforesaid sets, during its displacement. According to the present invention, around the adjacent ends of two contact blades 130, 140 of a given set, the longitudinal edges 134, 144 of the blades 130, 140 on which the stud 110 rests are inclined in respectively opposite directions relative to the general contour of the edge 121, 131, 141 of the blades which reproduces the path of the stud 110. <IMAGE>
