The subject of the present invention is a stop device for a door. The said device comprises a slideway 2 fixed to the internal face of the door perpendicularly to its axis of rotation AA' and an arm which is articulated by one of its ends about an axis which is parallel to the axis AA' to a mounting plate 6 mounted fixedly inside the building and which at its other end carries a slider 4 which interacts slidingly with the slideway, which slideway is provided transversely to the axis of sliding on the path of the slider with at least one orifice 5 into which the slider may penetrate so as to block the door in the open position. <IMAGE>
