PURPOSE:To improve reliability of connection and productivity in a coil which is formed by winding a metal foil by either folding back or winding, with a small diameter, the metal foil at both the winding start and end parts to thereby make it into an electric connection terminal part. CONSTITUTION:A coil 10 can be obtained by cutting a deformed bar-like member formed by winding a metal foil 1 covered with an insulating film which has a cross section so designed as to attain a predetermined characteristic. By either folding this coil 10 or winding it with a small diameter at both its winding start and end parts, bar-like terminals 2, 3 are formed in the thickness direction of the coil 10 with the same thickness as the coil 10. Accordingly, the coil can be manufactured without requiring not only separate terminal members for electric conduction with patterns of an external circuit board but also the process of soldering for electric conduction between the metal foil and the terminal members. The surface area for terminal connection is increased, so that the reliability of connection can be improved together with productivity. |
