PURPOSE:To form a cloning vector of a strain belonging to the genus Micromonospora by integrating a DNA fragment into a plasmid capable of autonomic replication in a bacterium of the genus Micromonospora and providing a recombinant plasmid. CONSTITUTION:A plasmid capable of autonomic replication in a strain of the genus Micromonospora is separated from Micromonospora.olivasterospora ATCC31010 and Micromonospora.olivasterospora 3629-4 (FERM BP-1614). A suitable vector marker is then integrated utilizing the autonomic replication ability of the above-mentioned plasmid to synthesize a cloning vector of the strain belonging to the genus Micromonospora. A DNA fragment containing a neomycin-tolerant gene derived from Micromonospora.sp. MK-50 (FERM BP-1613) is cited as a specific example of the vector marker. |
