PURPOSE:To obtain an expellent against insect pests by blending o- dichlorobenzene as an active ingredient with a fungicide and an insecticidal compound or an insect growth inhibitor, powder of inorganic mineral substance, sandy or granular diluent and, if necessary, a surfactant into dust or granule. CONSTITUTION:An expellent against insect pests, comprising 1-60wt.% o- dichlorobenzene, 0.1-20wt.% fungicide (e.g., amobam or triazine) and an insecticidal compound (e.g., calvinphos or carbaryl or cypermethrin) of 0.01-20wt.% insect growth inhibitor (e.g., insect young hormone-like compound or insect chitin formation inhibiting compound) in the form of dust having 40-5,000mum particle diameter or granule. The expellent against insect pests is produced by blending the above-mentioned components, mixing the blend with a ground diluent such as silicic acid, talc or sulfate and optionally a surfactant. When the expellent is scattered on excrements of domestic animals, outflow or excrement solution, reduction in efficiency of drying operation of excrements, etc., will not occur. |
