The seat to which the invention relates consists of the combination firstly of a structure 1 for supporting the body, made of three parts articulated on one another: a front seat 4, a rear seat 3 and a backrest 2; then of an assembly of rollers 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 integral with the support structure 1 and rails 5, 5', 6, 6', 7, 7' integral with a frame, controlling the respective position of the three parts of the support structure; finally of the fact that the rear seat is provided with a back support 20 on which the backrest 2 is articulated with a view to obtaining a variable curvature of the back of the user. It is intended to provide sufficient comfort, while at the same time ensuring a correct support of all the parts of the body, and more particularly of the back and thighs, when the head is to be held in a predetermined position, for example when having one's hair washed in a hairdressing salon, and to achieve this regardless of the height of the user. <IMAGE>
