PURPOSE:To increase the long-term preservability and stability by providing a light reflective layer on a light transmitting support, and also a thermal transfer ink layer through an intermediate layer containing a photodissociation compound which is a diazonium salt, and a light/heat conversion material on the other side. CONSTITUTION:A light reflective layer 2 which can be removed by discharge breakdown recording is provided on one side of a light transmitting support 1, and at the same time, a thermal transfer ink layer 4 is provided on the other side of the support 1 through an intermediate layer 3 containing a light/heat conversion material and a photodissociation compound to form a discharge transfer recording medium. The photodegradable compound is a compound based on an acid anion containing PF6, C3F7COO and a diazonium salt selected from among the groups shown by the structural formulae I and II. The discharge transfer recording medium thus obtained can withstand an increase in preservation temperatures and is more durable. Furthermore, the medium is almost not adversely affected by water and hence, no acid production occurs. |
