<p>PURPOSE:To perform the translation between Japanese and English languages which belong to a different linguistic family, accurately by producing the structure of concept signifying Japanese sentences and then producing English sentences based on the structure of concept. CONSTITUTION:Each device is operated as shown in a figure by using dictionaries in the figure. An extracting device 6 splits a Japanese sentence into a row of words and checks the propriety of connection of two words each. A synthesizer 7 adds an auxiliary word to an independent word and converts the word into a row of sentences. A connection device 8 seeks pairs of phrases having grammatical connections. A generating device 9 converts the attribute of the phrases in a phrase list and connected phrases to the connected phrases into the number of concept. A generating device 14 selects the conceptional symbol which is to be the main concept out of the structure of concept and retrieves a dictionary 18 by using this symbol as a key. An extracting device 15 seeks an English word corresponding to the conceptional symbol and locates the word to the location of English pattern. A synthesizer 16 and a generating device 17 shape the sentences grammatically and in the form of sentence.</p> |
