A mounting arm and bracket assembly for supporting for example electronic equipment such as a VDU or T.V. set in a desired position comprises an arm (14) having support means (28) at one end for the equipment and at the other end a base support member (8) rotatable about a generally vertical axis with respect to a member (2) designed to be attached to a substrate, e.g. a desk or table. The arm (14) is mounted for pivotal movement about a generally horizontal axis (12) offset from the axis of rotation of the support member (8) and its pivotal position is adjusted e.g. by a rotary cam (16) engageable with its underside. In alternative embodiments, pivoting about axis (12) is effected by a screw acting on the arm (14) from below or on its free end (15) from above. The mounting member (2) may be in two pieces adjustable relative to each other.
