The invention relates to a device for imparting a swirl effect in the inflow region of fluid flow machines, especially in the air inlet region of compressors of exhaust gas turbo chargers, guide blades being arranged in the inlet casing of the fluid flow machine which impart a swirl effect, are elastically deformable, are fixed at one end and are longitudinally flexibly connected to an adjustment device, via which they can be adjusted so as to adopt stretched-out or curved positions.
