A vehicle test stand, especially a motor-cycle test stand has a running belt (4) running endlessly over belt rollers (2, 3), the belt forming the running surface (5) for the vehicle wheels (6, 7). The vehicle, for example a motor-cycle (8), is restrained at its centre of gravity (17) by means of a rigidly fastened restraining carrier (18) in rotating bearings (19) which are guided so as to be vertically movable. The running belt (4) is connected to rotating masses which, in their mass moment of inertia, correspond to the mass of the vehicle. The dynamic driving behaviour of the motor-cycle (8), especially during acceleration and braking processes, is the same on the vehicle test stand as in driving operation. <IMAGE>
