PURPOSE:To provide the above material which has high sensitivity, less after- colors and excellent stability with age by providing a hydrophilic colloidal layer which is spectrally sensitized by at least one selected from a group consisting of cationic di- and tricarbocyanine dyes and contg. a specific dye to an emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The emulsion layer contg. at least one layer of the hydrophilic colloidal layer which is spectrally sensitized by at least one selected from the group consisting of the cationic tricarboxyanine dyes and contains at least one kind of the dyes expressed by the formula I. In the formula, R1-R6 respectively have an alkyl group; Z1 and Z2 respectively denote the nonmetallic atom group necessary for forming pyrrolopyridine, thienopyrrole and furopyrrole rings. L denotes a methyne group; X<-> denotes anion; n denotes 1 or 2 integer; n is 1 when the dye forms an intramolecular salt. The photosensitive material which has the less after-colors after development processing and the high sensitivity to IR light, forms the good images with high sensitivity and has the excellent stability with age is obtd. in this way. |
