A plug socket for coaxial plug connection, comprising an inner conductor contact socket having a sleeve part which is slotted in the axial direction and engages around the inner conductor pin of the male plug associated with the socket, the slot or slots provided in the sleeve wall extending approximately as far as the sleeve base, starting from the sleeve end surface, is characterised in that the wall regions of the sleeve adjacent to the longitudinal edges of the slot or slots overlap one another increasingly from the slot end in the region of the sleeve base towards the end of the sleeve, with the aim of creating a sleeve shape which tapers conically towards the end of the sleeve, the unobstructed width of the end sleeve end corresponding approximately to the diameter of the inner conductor plug pin, and contact being made between the sleeve end surface and the plug pin of the inner conductor, in the form of an annular surface.
