PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of crater-like fine pores by coating at least one layer of polyolefine resin layer as a resin layer on an photographic emulsion coated surface side and specifying the surface roughness of the emulsion coated side surface of the base. CONSTITUTION:At least one layer of the polyolefin resin layer is coated on the photographic emulsion coated surface side as the resin layer of said side and the surface roughness of the front side surface of the base is specified as follows: The surface roughness, expressed as the center line average height Ra stipulated in JIS is confined to <=1.0 and the line pressure of a cooling roll and a back up roll is specified to 25-200kg/cm at the time of extrusion coating of the outermost polyolefin resin layer on the front side. Both faces of base paper are coated with the polyolefin resin in this way and the surface smoothness of the emulsion coated surface side is improved. Generation of the pit-like ores is obviated. |
