PURPOSE:To restart communication soon after restoration even if information for restoring a faulty slave subsystem is not received from a master subsystem, by providing a time counting means on each subsystem constituting a dispersion type information exchange system. CONSTITUTION:To a slave subsystem 1, a time counting means CNT, and an asynchronous restart means consisting of a communication state display FF, etc. are added respectively, so as to correspond to a slave subsystem 2 and 3. Also, to the slave subsystems 2, 3, too, the asynchronous restart means is added in the same way. When a data is being transferred to the system 2 from the subsystem 1, if a fault occurs in the system 2, the asynchronous restart means detects it, communication of the system 1 is discontinued, and also time counting is started. After a constant interval of time, the communication is restarted. In this way, even if information for restoring the system 2 is not given from a master subsystem 4, the communication to the system 2 is restarted. |
