The safety shut-off device has a housing 1 with two coaxially arranged conduit connections 2 and 3 and two flange connections 4 and 5, arranged transversely thereto, for the attachment of safety control devices 6 and 7. Mounted within the housing 1 is a wall 8 which divides the conduit connections 2 and 3 from one another and which has a through hole 12 arranged transversely to the conduit connections 2 and 3. Formed on each side of the through hole 12 is a sealing seat 13, 14 which, in conjunction with an associated sealing body 15, 16, forms a seat valve 18, 19. The seat valves 18, 19 are connected via respective spindles 20, 21 to independently operating control devices 6, 7 which automatically close the valves 18, 19 in the event of danger. The space between the sealing bodies 15, 16 is then connected to atmosphere via a passage 25 in the wall 8. <IMAGE>
