A device for the alterable, frictionally locking fastening on a bar (11), in particular for the vertically adjustable securing of suspended ceilings, exhibits a basic body (1) which has two retaining legs (7, 8) arranged at a distance (b) from one another. It further exhibits a clamping lever (2) having a clamping leg (13) which is located between the retaining legs (7, 8). The three legs (7, 8, 13) exhibit bores (9, 10, 15) which can be brought into alignment with respect to one another. The clamping leg (13) can be moved, by means of an actuating lever (16) which can be latched to the basic body (1) into a clamping position which is pivoted with respect to the retaining legs (7, 8) and in which the bar (11) is clamped in between the two retaining legs (7, 8), on the one hand, and the clamping leg (13), on the other hand. Said device is of very simple construction, can be produced easily and grips well on the bar. On the other hand, the device can easily be adjusted on the bar (11). <IMAGE>
