PURPOSE:To restore data in a vertex coordinate list to an original image fast through easy operation by detecting a maximum point, a minimum point, and the overlap part of border lines as singular picture elements in advance, and redrawing those points lastly. CONSTITUTION:An aimed picture element is denoted as P, a picture element which is before it as P-, and a picture element which is behind it as P+; and the direction CH1 from P- to P and the direction CH2 from P to P+ are represented with Freeman chain codes (0-7). Then the picture element state value (0, 1, 2) that the picture element P has is determined in a table (a) according to the combination of those directions CH1 and CH2 and processing corresponding to the picture element state value is carried out. When the picture element state value is 1, the picture element P is regarded as a singular picture element (maximum point and minimum point) and when the picture element value is 2, the value of the picture element P on an image memory is checked; when the picture value is '0', a picture element value '1' is written and when the picture element value is '1', the picture element P is regarded as a singular picture element (overlap point of border lines) while the picture element value '0' is written. Consequently, the original image is restored fast. |
