摘要 The invention relates to a hydraulic clamping ring in which several pistons are arranged uniformly distributed parallel and concentric to the axis of rotation in cylinder bores, the pistons, through the admission of pressure medium in the cylinder bores connected to one another, exerting a clamping pressure on a tool or workpiece rotating with the axis. The object of the invention is a space-saving design of such a clamping ring, in which at the same time the connection between the cylinder bores is possible in a simple manner and without additional space requirement and means for the positive piston return can be provided. According to the invention, this is achieved by the use of stepped pistons, the smaller diameter steps of which form guide journals. By this stepped arrangement to form a piston part and a guide journal, sufficient space for the arrangement of an annular passage connecting the cylinder bores is obtained at the side of the guide journal, so that the clamping ring can be designed with minimum width and yet the pistons are effectively guided, since the decisive ratio for this of piston diameter to guide length is unchanged.
