发明名称 REGENERATION OF HYDROLYZING CATALYST
摘要 PURPOSE:To perfectly regenerate a catalyst and to also efficiently recover halogen by heating a hydrolyzing catalyst composed of anionic clay mineral lowered in its activity in the presence of oxygen to bring the same into contact with halogen and subsequently hydrating the catalyst thus treated. CONSTITUTION:A hydrolyzing catalyst composed of anionic clay mineral wherein a copper ion is supported and a hydroxy anion is present in an anion exchange site is brought into contact with aromatic halide in the presence of water in a gaseous phase to perform hydrolysis. The hydrolyzing catalyst used in this hydrolysis and lowered in its activity is heated in the presence of oxygen to release halogen and the treated catalyst is subjected to hydration treatment to regenerate the hydrolyzing catalyst. The aforementioned hydration treatment is preformed by bringing the hydrolyzing catalyst into contact with water containing a hydroxy anion but, as the water containing the hydroxy anion at this time, an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution is used.
