PURPOSE:To improve the overall reliability of a data processing system by checking the presence or absence of a file where an under-updating flag is set at application of a power supply and performing automatically the recompiling process and the release of the flag to said file with operation of a single key. CONSTITUTION:When a service interruption accident occurs in a file access processing state, the corresponding file name 18 is displayed at restoration of the service interruption or at application of a power supply. Then a plus (+) key is operated after the display of the name 18 is confirmed. Thus all files 16 kept under the access processing state are recompiled and at the same time, an under-updating flag 19 is released. Thus the restoring job efficiency is extremely improved when the service interruption is restored compared with a conventional data processing system where the manual operations are required for the recompilation and the release of a flag of each file. Thus it is possible to shorten the time required for a system to actually shift to its working state from the restoring time point of the service interruption. |
