PURPOSE:To eliminate visual checking and improve the efficiency by enabling automatic identification of true short-circuit trouble from a condenser load with an intentional short-circuiting between terminals to be inspected for a specified time period immediately before the application of inspection current therebetween. CONSTITUTION:Opening and short-circuiting troubles are detected in a printed circuit board 1 in which a plurality of electronic components containing capacitors are mounted after assembly by soldering. In this case, the combination of possible short-circuiting and pins to be detected is previously detected 7 to cause an intentional short-circuiting in the combination with a contact. After the removal of the short-circuiting, voltage based on time constant of the capacitors between the pins being detected is measured 8 between the first and second times and compared 10 with a preset threshold voltage 11. The combination of short-circuited points in the accepted substrate is stored in a memory 12b. Then, the memories 12a and 12b are compared with a CPU 12. A relay 13 is used for an intentional short-circuiting between the terminals being inspected under the control of the CPU 12. |
