PURPOSE:To prevent a restricting means from receiving an excess load by dividing a shifting member interlocked with a column type shaft lever, which is positioned between the shift lever and the restricting means, into two parts of a shift lever side and a restricting means side. CONSTITUTION:In the state that, a shift lever 11 is restricted in a parking range by a restricting means such as a key lock mechanism 25 or a shift lock mechanism, as the lever 11 is forcibly pulled in this side, an upper side shift rod 8a connected to the lever 11 through a shift lever supporting member 7a and a cylindrical member 7 receives an excess load. Since the rod 8a and a lower side shift rod 8b are connected with a tensile coil spring 9 for allowing the relative movement thereof, when the rod 8a receives the excess load, only the rod 8a is interlocked with the operation of the lever 11 against the spring 9. Thus, in the case of miss-operation of the lever 11, it is possible to receive the excess load on the mechanism 25. |
