摘要 A linear optoelectric device for measuring or setting the mutual position of two objects uses the optoelectric principle of the generation of the measurement signals, and is used on machine tools, measuring instruments and positioning devices in order to measure changes in position. However, in the device according to the invention, the scanning unit (OE) is guided on a glass scale (8) and an auxiliary guide (26) which is located in the groove (3b) of the profile (3). The carriage (1) and the scanning unit (OE) are connected in a self-closed (positive) fashion by means of two prisms (6a and 6b) which are mounted on them and in which V- or U-shaped grooves are made. A ball (7) which can move in these grooves permits the carriage of the scanning unit to move in the directions pointing perpendicular and parallel to the scale, whereas their connection in the longitudinal direction of the scale is rigid. <IMAGE>
