The invention relates to a drive device for a vehicle with four-wheel or all-wheel drive, with a variable coupling in one of the vehicle axles, which is arranged in alignment between the axle differential and the wheel, in order to create a limited slip, in order to disperse or use up torsional moments in the drive train. The variable coupling is, for example, a viscous coupling.
