Hydraulic vane-type shock absorber

A description is given of a hydraulic vane-type shock absorber with a stator (1) in the form of a housing filled with a damping-medium dispersion (2), and with a rotor having a vane (5), the spindle (3) of the rotor being passed out of the stator (1) at the top and at the bottom through covers. The shock absorber is characterised in that at least one vane (5) and one plate cam (6) are connected to the spindle (3) of the rotor, in that a divider (4) with a slot (4a) divides the cylindrical space in the stator (1) into two chambers a, b, and an opening for an adjusting element (8) passes through the stator wall, and in that the slot (4a) is dimensioned in such a way that a gap for the throughflow of the damping-medium dispersion (2) can be set between the plate cam (6) and the adjusting element (8). The shock absorber has the advantage that it is simple to produce and very reliable in operation (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
