PURPOSE:To prevent a drop in breakdown voltage and to improve dielectric breakdown voltage of dielectric substance ceramics element substance by forming the reducing regions near the end edge part of an electrode on the surface part of the dielectric substance ceramics element substance, while soldering the external terminals with the electrodes formed of a silver material. CONSTITUTION:The reducing regions 4 and 5 are formed near the end edge part of the electrodes 2 and 3 on the surface part of a dielectric ceramics element substance 1. The electrodes 2 and 3 are formed of a silver material. External terminals 8 and 9 are soldered with the electrodes 2 and 3. Since the carriers exist in the regions 4 and 5, resistivity is low as compared with the other regions. Since the regions having low resistivity exist on the end edge part of the electrodes 2 and 3, concentration of electric fields on the end edge part of the electrodes 2 and 3 is eased up so that potential inclination is suppressed low. Thereby, a drop in breakdown voltage is prevented so that dielectric breakdown voltage of the element substance 1 can be improved. |
