<p>The collector comprises a support (4, 8, 9) fastened by gripping to catches (14, 15) of a firearm (1) to which it is connected by articulation about a hinge (5), and a container (6) which, in the low turned-down position, covers the charging handle (2) and the aperture (3) for ejecting the cases of the spent cartridges.
<??>The container (6) has an inner wall (13, 17) for retaining the cases which rises as far as the aperture (3).
<??>A system for immobilising the container (6) by snapping (10, 11, 12) in three positions (18, 19, 20) makes it possible to keep the container temporarily in a low position (18) for collecting the cases (21), in an intermediate position (19) for allowing the manipulation of the charging handle (2) and, if appropriate, of the members concealed in the low position, without losing the cases collected, and in a high position (20) for recovering the collected cases which fall as a result of gravity, and to allow an easy control of the cartridge chamber.
