PURPOSE:To have an external force absorbed in deformation of an elastic body together with weight reduction of the submerged motor pump in the title by building up the outer barrel thereof with the elastic body and retaining the upper side and lower side, in the axial direction, of this elastic body by means of a rigid member. CONSTITUTION:A pump casing part 11a and an outer barrel 11b are integrated in one body and made of an elastic material like rubber, the upper surface of the pump casing part 11a covered by an intermediate casing 12 made of a rigid material and an impeller 13 is enchlosed therein. A bottom plate 15 made of a rigid material is brought in contact with the lower surface of the pump casing part 11a of an elastic material via a fluid passage 14 in which liquid is sucked, and clamped thereto by means of a through-bolt 16a, in such a manner as sandwiching the pump casing part 11a by means of the intermediate casing 12 and the bottom plate 15.
