PURPOSE:To make it possible to operate an airconditioner with higher efficiency and further reduce its thickness, by constituting a blower with a multi-plate type fan rotor formed by a plurality of ring-shaped disks installed in parallel with an extremely small span. CONSTITUTION:A multi plate-type fan rotor blower 2 is composed of a plurality of ring-shaped disks 8 having an opening hole 7 in the center respectively installed in parallel with each specified small span where its edge section 8a is curved along an air intake flow line from a grill opening 11 and the edge section 8a is machined so as to provide the maximum slanting angle to the thickness of the disk and a construction to minimize a contact surface. Therefore, the flow of air to be introduced accompanied by the rotation of the fan rotor is divided into an upper stream and a lower stream without producing any contact loss on the edge section 8a on the inner periphery side of each disk 8, and the air flows smoothly outwardly in the radial direction, responding with the centrifugal force acting without producing any flow break away along the curved surface and Karman's vortex street. As a result, the blower capacity as well as quiet performance can be improved. |
