<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a switch for control mode determination by detecting a tape traveling speed and whether a tape is a soft tape or not in a magnetic tape for a magnetic tape for DAT, which is put in a cassette case, and detecting whether recording is allowed or not in the cassette case. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette is loaded, a cassette loading signal from a limit switch 27 and a signal, which shows whether the recording is allowed or not, are processed by an input CPU 46. A signal from a revolving magnetic head 21 is separated to original music information and the other information by a signal processing circuit 41 after amplification and demodulation. Out of a latter number, sub code data, for example, data concerning a track width in a PCM-1D or a signal to show whether the tape is the soft tape or not based on the data in a sub code ID is identified according to a command from a main CPU 44. A previous number is sent to the CPU 46 and a capstan motor 22 is controlled at a speed to correspond to the signal. The latter number is sent to a display part 48 and it is displayed whether the tape is the soft tape or not.</p> |
