PURPOSE:To easily emphasize a thin line part without changing picture size by detecting a border line part from digitized input picture information, and drawing a number of circles along the detected border line. CONSTITUTION:When a picture operation processing part 2 confirms that the picture information of one picture portion is stored in an input picture information memory 1, it fetches this information in an internal memory. Then, it detects the border line part in the picture by processing said fetched picture information by a border line detecting means 2a. A circle drawing means 2b overwrites a number of circles along the detected border line part. Namely, when a number of circles 7 of prescribed radius centering at the border line 6 are overwritten along the border line 6, it means that an additional part 9 whose width is the radius of the circle 7 is added newly to the outside part of an initial picture 8. Thus, a part expressed by a thin line becomes a thick line, and the border line part is picture-emphasized. |
