<p>PURPOSE: To burn creosote completely by passing the mixture of unburnt substances being fed through a substance feed pipe and exhaust gas through a catalyst and disposing a deflector closely to an extra unburnt substance supply pipe. CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas from a boiler is premixed with secondary air ejected from a supply pipe 4 and introduced through a side inlet 2 into a pipe 1. In the outlet region on the downstream side of a catalyst 3, the mixture gas is brought into contact with high temperature extra secondary air from an extra supply pipe 7 and burnt again by some extent while emitting creosote partially. Temperature required for combustion is attained in the downstream side of the catalyst 3 and combustion continues in the downstream side of the pipe 7 after combination with extra secondary air ejected at the height of a deflector 6. Based on the temperature rise, substantially entire residual creosote and combustible substances can be extinguished and tar is burnt entirely at the outlet of the pipe 1.</p> |
