PURPOSE:To provide a cleaning roll which is light in weight, is small in size and withstands long-time use, by constituting the surface of said roll of rubber having 35-65 deg. hardness and pressing the same under 200-700g/cm. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning roll 2 has an elastic rubber layer of neoprene or the like having 35-65 deg. rubber hardness on a shaft. The roll 2 is pressed onto a photosensitive drum 1 by means of a spring member 5 for pressing. The roll 2 is pressed under 200-700g/cm pressure. The residual toners 7 removed from the drum 1 by roll 2 are removed by a blade 3. |
