PURPOSE:To obtain the title material with excellent optical durability and color reproducibility by incorporating a pyrazoloazole type magenta coupler shown by the formula in the silver halide emulsion or its adjacent layer contd. in the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The pyrazoloazole type magenta coupler shown by formula I is incorporated in the emulsion or its adjacent layer mounted on a supporting body. The couplers shown by formulas II and III are excluded from the coupler shown by formula I. In formula II, X is halogen atom, R<11> is a substd. or an unsubstd. alkyl group, R<12> is alkyl group having a substituting group (wherein the substituting group is excluded aryl group directly bound with alkyl group). In formula III, X is halogen atom, R<11> and R<12> are each a substd. or an unsubstd. alkyl group. At least one of the groups R<11> and R<12> is a branched alkyl group including the meanings of the groups R<1>, R<2> and R<3>, R<1> is a substd. or an unsubstd. alkyl group, R<2> and R<3> are each hydrogen atom or a substituting group, one of the groups R<2> and R<3> is a substituting group. Thus, an azomethine dye with the excellent photodurability is formed, and the photodurability and the color reproducibility of a color image are improved. |
